Communications
Tahirpur Upazila is known as Backward Upazila only due to its rich nature and rich resources. The communication system is very fragile due to haor, river and mountain eels. Boats are the only communication system during the monsoon season. However, road connectivity is currently underway. On the other hand, dry motorcycles are the only mode of communication on a motorbike. Distance from Sunamganj Sadar to Tahirpur is 12 km and Tahirpur distance from Dharmapasha of the adjacent upazila is 6 km. The current state of the internal communication system of the upazila is very critical.

The Upazila Information and Communication Technology Office is located next to the Upazila Executive Officer's office on the 2nd floor of the Upazila Parishad Building.
